How I Sanitize my Fort Worth Massage Office

Germs and hand washing are all over the news now. You don’t need to worry about how clean my office is because I’m gonna tell you exactly how I sanitize my office and treatment area before and after each massage client.

One of the reasons why I block off 30 minutes in between clients is so that I can properly clean up after a massage.

Here’s how I accomplish that:

I wipe down every surface that was touched by you or me with a hospital-grade disinfectant.  I actually have to use gloves to use it.  I wipe down the doorknobs, light switches, my massage oil, and even the handle where I adjust the headrest of the massage table.

Seriously, I wipe down EVERYTHING!

I wash my hands before and after each client.  I also use hand sanitizer before I walk into the treatment room.

I launder the massage sheets every night with hot water, a cup of bleach, and non-scented detergent.

That fuzzy fleece barrier pad that makes the table and headrest more comfortable? Those get replaced after every massage and get washed every night, too.  The blanket? The one you might have never even touched? That gets washed in the same way I wash the sheets that were on your table.

This is the way I’ve always cleaned my office.  Things haven’t changed since this new coronavirus has been in the news.

I use universal precautions.  Always.

If I have a hangnail or a cut on my hand, I massage with nitrile gloves.  This protects both of us.
