While summer may not have technically begun, our minds are there. The kids are home, the suitcases are being used, and fun will commence!
With all that fun being had, our self care routines get thrown out with yesterday’s junk mail.
So, what does a family on the go do then to make sure we don’t drive each other crazy?
Read on, and I’ll give you 5 tips:
Sound canceling headphones
Want to read a book in peace while you’re in the passenger seat and the kids are in the back seat? Want to meditate, read or write on a plane without being bothered by all the airplane noise? Take it from me! These headphones are a gift from heaven!
Pack Bath Bombs and Shower Tablets
Bring your favorite soothing scent with you and relax in the bath. While you’re at it, throw in some of those one time use face masks, too.
Melatonin or CBD oil
Either one of these are great to help you fall asleep in a strange place.
Book a Massage
Look a few months ahead of time and book a massage at a spa or an independent therapist. And, if you get regular massages, it’s likely that your therapist knows great therapists all over the US. If you’re one of my clients, I’m more than happy to recommend a massage therapist in almost every major metropolitan area you might want to visit.
Stretch or Practice Yoga
If you’re going on a trip that involves more daily walking that you’re used to, pull out your laptop (because I know you brought it) and pull up Yoga With Adrienne on YouTube. She has great routines that help get you going in the morning and wind you down at night.
