There is so much pressure to be on point ALL THE TIME!  And you know what? It’s exhausting.

 

In addition to work, I have to be Super Mom 24-7 and make every little thing fresh and organic, and I have to be an incredible volunteer at my kid’s school.  The list goes on and on.

You know what I’ve learned? I don’t have to be 100% on top of my game all the freaking time! It’s okay for me to let a few things slide sometimes.

 

Can I just get a box of store-brand snacks to bring to a volunteer function? I sure as heck can!

 

Do I have to have a perfectly manicured lawn?  Nope! In fact, I’m going to wait three more weeks to weed eat.  Take that, code compliance!

It’s stressful feeling like you have to be a rock star superhero all the time.  So I’m giving you permission to chill out.  

 

Do you want to indulge in fancy ice cream? Do it!

Do you want to skip the PTA meeting this one time? Consider it skipped.

 

Do you want to take a half-day and book that massage you’ve been putting off? Just go ahead and book it!

 

We have so much pressure to be perfect, and I’m not going to add to that pressure. Instead, I’m giving you permission to relax for a while and take your mind off things. You can even fall asleep on the massage table.  I won’t mind at all.
