The Quick Fix: Making Pregnancy a Tad Easier

Vacations, new wardrobes, long, luxurious spa days – It’s nice to have those big indulgences in your life.

But sometimes the little things make us just as happy – and getting great sleep while pregnant certainly counts!

While it might be nice to get a 60 minute massage every day while pregnant, it’s difficult to replicate that at home. Here are some things you can do to make yourself more comfortable in between massage appointments.

Step 1: Get Adequate Exercise

If your body isn’t tired before going to bed, it’s going to be harder for you to wind down. Walk around your Fort Worth neighborhood. Go for a swim. Do something to make sure you’re moving enough during the day.

Step 2: Do Some Gentle Stretches

Being pregnant often places a lot of stress on the hips. Make sure your hip flexors are stretched out by doing some gentle restorative yoga (assuming you have your doctor’s permission to exercise, of course).

Step 3: Prepare Your Bed

When you’re pregnant, there’s no such thing as too many pillows! Have plenty of pillows to support your changing body. Sleeping with pillows that support your belly can help a lot. Many women find that a pillow between the knees helps as well.

I hope these tips help you out. Once you are getting better sleep, you’ll enjoy your pregnancy so much more.
